Rembrandt, truer words were never spoken.
Governor Doyle can send one of his campaign staffers down to Chicago to sit with one executive from a road-building company, have a cup of coffee and maybe some French cheese, and walk out with a check for $10K
No matter what avenue I pursue, it looks like it requires trying to get hundreds of people to pay $50 to $100 each for something. IOW, nobody wants to just contribute to the cause unless they get something out of it.
It may well be that Ted Nugent has looked at the situation in WI, and would be willing to help at no charge.
Or, maybe he won't.
Regardless, here's my constant harp to my fellow Cheeseheads: if you want concealed carry next year, you'd better start working on fund-raisers that can bring in a few thousand dollars each.
If you don't think that raising money for campaigns gives you access to the legislators, you're naive. If you object to such tactics, you're disarmed.
We have until November 7th to help pro-CCW candidates get elected.
If Ted Nugent is willing to come here the day before the NRA convention starts (a convention he'll be attending anyway) and help raise money, that would be great.
If not, then we need to continue to pursue smaller fund-raisers that still bring in respectable amounts of contributions.
