You know there's been a lot of talk here about the Kahr lady, and others in the ads being not sexy etc. I guess I'm just silly, but I think the Kahr lady is hot. Of course I don't have this exact image of what I think perfect beauty is, and realize that the sexiest part of any woman is between her ears so I'm influenced by her image in other ways. The lady in those pics looks cool, confident, and poised. All positive attributes, and so attractive to me. If you're looking only at skin you're missing 99% of the picture if you ask me.

Cool thread. As much as I like pretty gals, it does have a negative effect on my opinion of the company... especially in the gun biz. It is just cheesy to me... like the pix on the top of DRT ammo boxes. It is hard to take it seriously when they have a pair of Parisian runway models holding rifles and wearing enough makeup to conceal a 12 lb goiter. It looks like satire to me... not a company I would stake my life on.

You may never admit it, but the sexy model will make you look. If you keep looking you may find something you want to buy. You bet it works, even if you say it does not.
There used to be a guy at the local gun shows that always had an attractive female assistant. She didn't dress trashy, but she made an effort to look her best, and God certainly blessed her. This guy always had a big crowd looking at his guns, while shoppers walked right past other tables.
The girl got people to look at his table. It's not that she made anyone buy anything they didn't want to buy. But I'm sure many saw something they may have walked right past had they not stopped to get a peek at the attractive assistant.

I wonder if the OP is referring to the cheesy EAA pistol commercial that's on TV. The Girl doing the ad is attractive, but they have her acting like a bimbo and she has a top on that's probably a size and a half too small. I have nothing against women and firearms...I happen to think is't a good idea - just don't treat them like a sex object when you have them doing a gun commercial.

It turns me off to a company, any company, makes me want to not buy their products.
If I am looking for something, and I see two ads where one has a woman in a sexual pose or scantily clad and one that does not, I will probably not even look at the one with the woman in it.
However if the woman is a fully clothed service member or hunter or otherwise respectfully clothed, and not in any kind of provocative position, then I will gladly read their ad.
Why? Because it is offensive to me for someone to try and tempt me to infidelity, be that woman or company or anything else, anyone that tries to appeal to my sexuality tries to steal something from the love of my life. That angers me and turns me off.

Since I don't feel tempted to stray I don't see a problem. If someone feels tempted to stray by a model then there's probably something more wrong in their relationship than a hot chick at a booth or in a magazine ad.
Besides, I got married not blinded. I'm a hetro male, and I like to look at the gentle gender. Heck, my wife points them out to me sometimes when she sees someone she thinks I'd like to see. I do the same for her when one of her favorite supposedly attractive male movie stars is on. Doesn't mean either one of us is looking to be disloyal, just enjoying the scenery. Kind of like driving out in the Hill Country, and looking out over the tree covered hills. Awe inspiring, and breathtaking on the right day. It's a thing of God's beauty, but promotes only admiration in me. I like it that God makes things of beauty whether they be landscaping, wildlife, or attractive specimens of the human species.
I have a friend that put it like this, "They're like art, nice to look at on the wall sometimes, but that doesn't mean you want to take it home."

LMAO you'd have to fight off her fiance though, and he didn't look like a fun loving guy. It's a funny story actually, here I am, it's friday at the show. Two of the four girls I hired for the show didn't show up. Of the two who did, one clearly is anorexic with these huge implants stapled onto her bony chest and the other one is about half as pretty as her modeling pictures with B cups in a sports bra. I was totally screwed.
So I'm over at the stun gun booth buying toys and this statuesque blond is there with a guy as just NRA members at the show. I turn to her and say hey are you a model looking for work. She says no, that she's flattered, and that she'd love to work the booth. Her fiance was clearly steaming, but whatever lol. She had a great time, she was drop dead gorgeous with double Ds in our tank top, and the most friendly girl you could ever meet, really "one of us."
Some days having little if any plan actually works out.

Sounds like her fiance has an issue. I would be proud to show that off as my SO. Goes to show you though that some guys just don't have enough self confidence, esteem, whatever.

It turns out her friend is an accomplished european model (she almost worked the booth with her actually), but still, OMG who the hell would want to marry a guy who didn't think you were the best looking girl in the world? Especially if you are one of them for sure?? Crazy. I told her to move on lol.
Note that my arms are glued to my side, because my own (smokin hot) girlfriend was standing there in front of us, not that I would have put my arm around them if she wasn't there. I have a great girl.
