I've looked around on various sites and I can find mag well brushes/swabs/mops for .45 and 9mm but I'm not coming up with anything that says it will fit .22 semi auto.... anybody know where to get them?

I just use a nylon brush like comes free with a lot of new centerfire handguns. I can't see the need for a special tool.

I insert a smallish rag in one end and pull it up or down through. If there's still crud in there I use a GI-type 'toothbrush' and reinsert the rag.

You clean the mag well?

Shoot yeah. The upper portion near the chamber gets coated in burned powder residue. Blowback rimfire pistols aren't exactly tidy guns.

Regarding what I use for cleaning rimfire magwells as well as magazines, I just insert a .45 sized cleaning patch into a small slotted tip on the end of a section of cleaning rod and use that. I wet the patch with some plain Hoppe's cleaner to attract the soot and follow up with dry patches. I've used a GI brush as well, as needed.

I do the same with centerfire pistols.
