Don’t know why

I always thought the chiappa needed to be in 44 mag. I'd probably own one if it was a 44. They feel great in the hand or at least the one I saw in person did.

Gunny, I normally really like your taste in firearms, woodworking and general hobbies… but for reasons I can’t explain the Rhino just doesn’t put much water under my keel. :(

Maybe if I shot one SxS with my other guns it would grow on me.

Stay safe.

They seem to have more screws than should be necessary (like they figured out more stuff they needed, and screwed it on), and they are odd looking.
But the double action is phenomenal (the trigger should be thinner), and the sights are great. The single action trigger break is good, too, but the 'hammer' is hard to thumb.
The low bore axis really mitigates recoil.
Yeah, they are expensive. I stumbled on to an amazing deal on one, and another used one. A buddy has the really short version, and even full house magnums are pleasant.

Gunny, if it floats your boat, who am I to disagree.

I live in a glass house and do not throw stones.:)

I'm a sucker for strange stuff now and again.

Since the barrel bore is down even with the hand, this puppy won't roll-up during recoil quite as much as other revolvers = quick return to target.

If you have strong meaty hands, this just may be the ticket for you. Have you ever held one in your hand? I've not seen one of these at the gun shows I've attended. Try to find one at a dealer and see how it feels in your hand. If it doesn't fit well in your hand, you'll never come to like it.

I shot one a few times some years ago. IIRC, it felt a little awkward and didn't impress me.

I think a different grip profile would make them a bit prettier?

although I’ll agree the grip angle makes it look different it is that grip angle that makes it shoot very well in double action. Odd looking but I wouldn’t change it.

Maybe if I shot one SxS with my other guns it would grow on me.

I was given a 4” as a gift and still had my 4” Security Six and did a direct comparison. It does do what it is promoted to do. Muzzle flip is greatly reduced and reacquisition of the sight picture is improved noticeably.

I've had a 60DS for over a decade. It's a fantastic gun and very underrated. I'm not sure why some people get hung up on looks, but I didn't buy mine to stare at it - I bought it to punch holes in targets. In that role it does exceedingly well, perhaps better than any other revolver currently out there (the Mateba might have it beat in a larger format, but those are exceedingly rare).

Here's a fun photo from awhile back. The bayonet is currently in use as a bench-side knife/letter opener. The red dot is probably in a random box somewhere. I need to get some updated photos. Somewhere in the house there is also a custom holster for the gun too.
