I would respectfully request to know what kind of women do you people marry?
My wife couldn't care less what I buy as long as I'm not going into debt to buy it. Similarly, I dont care how many shoes she buys as long as she isn't puting us in debt either.
There are women in this world with a head on their shoulders. my advice is to wait for a woman with 1/2 a brain. Your life will be MUCH easier.

OOOH Grey Morel that was a rough post. My wife use to care less until a really close cousin came home from the war and put a gun in his mouth. Now I have to have a every other mont arguement as to why I need a gun or for that matter several. As for 1/2 a brain she has 2 masters degrees. So I would say her head is on her shoulders. Maybe the OP really didnt have the money to buy said rifle. I know I didnt have the money to buy my boat I financed for $72 a month but when a woman has a baby there is a lot of emotion involved. I still hear about it today 3 years later.

Well I was going to let her read this thread as it might make her chuckle, until this post.... My wife has her bachelors degree and is pretty damn smart.
I guess I have to just say "good on ya" for getting the perfect partner. I have to ask whether you have had kids and have you ever had an argument where you didn't agree?
I have been looking at this rifle for awhile and salivated over many pics of them and the reports. The problem was no one had one. Local gun shop told me they are beyond a year for delivery when ordered. At G/B you can buy one for $2200 all day long, but I certainly didn't have that.
Well, I walked into a shop y/day and it was sitting on the wall and had just come in. It was priced relatively decently at a hair over $1600. I started the paperwork right away. Incidentally, a man came in right behind me and was very interested in it! I think he was bummed it was sold.
I am happy! Thankfully I live out in the country and will be able to test it immediately on my impromptu range.

Forgot to ask a question I have....
I was looking online last night at clips for the M1a's. Anyone have any experience with any of the 20 rounders that are $20 and under? I will check with the shop and see what they have? In my excitement, I forgot to try and negotiate a clip or two to be thrown in.
In addition, I got the synthetic stock (black). I really like the looks of the wood. Any good place to get a wood one?

Geez people. There are tons of people out there with degrees multiple degrees and doctorates who do NOT have a "head on their shoulders." intelligence does not indicate common sense. Not saying anything about YOUR women, just that degrees are not a good indicator in this context.

I know that degrees indicate little. Not sure why we are even talking about this? My wife got irritable because I spent alot of money on something she didn't know about, but is now over it... I posted about her irritation because I knew people would be able to relate; and chuckle with me. Nothing more, Nothing less.
Call me silly, but even with the anonymity the web provides, I wouldn't make a reference or comment on someone's wife. I won't post anything on the web, (or for that matter, make any comment) that I wouldn't say to someone in person. Too me that is integrity.
