Don't Pay Attention to Trigger Reset

I heard a motorsports instructor and author explain learning that sport like this, and I think it applies here as well.....

You only have 100% of your attention. As you learn muscle memory and mechanical control over your bike, (gun) you will spend less and less attention on letting the clutch out, (finding the sight picture) and throttling and shifting, (trigger reset) and you will spend more and more attention on where to brake and turn, (hitting one targer, double tapping, and transitioning to another) and you will improve. Right now new riders (shooters) spend 70% of their attention on the bikes controls, and only 30 percent on properly racing the thing. Eventually you'll only spend 5% on your controls, and 95% on your race craft. This will happen after you've achieved true muscle control through true muscle memory..............

Should you focus on the front sight. Of course. Should you focus on trigger reset. OF COURSE.

You focus on EVERYTHING thousands and thousands of times over until it becomes muscle memory and automated second nature, and at that time, you are now learning to shoot.
