"Doomsday Clock" applied to guns?

I've got me an idea; Some major pro-2A force (the SAF, GOA, etc) or Liberitarian group needs to create a countdown clock similiar to the Doomsday Clock maintained by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists. Except this one would move closer and farther from midnight as anti-Bill of Rights (not just 2A) legislations are proposed and enacted. Midnight, of course, would signify the beginning of a new civil war between Red States and the Federal Government, personal rights versus government control.

I think it would be a good publicity move; calling attention to the anti-freedom aspects of any legislation.

Right now, I'd put the hands at around 11:30 p.m.....And if the recently proposed Illinois legislation goes in and no grandfathering is allowed, move the hands on up to 11:45.

I wouldn't, its solidly set just a few minutes before midnight, and its tick tick ticking...

From the way the "elected officials" are acting I think even closer than a few minutes. I would say 1 minute to 30 seconds. With states falling every day it's scary for sure. Kommifornia, Commiyork, Commirado, United Socialist States of Jersey and Soon to be Maryland, and the states with bills being proposed and voted on are growing like a bad staph infection. We are less likely to be attacked with nukes than lose our gun rights.

I don't see how this proposal will do anything to help us appear reasonable.
