Double Turn Lines Security Six

Brother inlaw has a co worker with a Security Six with two turn lines side by side on the cylinder he wants to sell him. Its the 4 inch duty model. I have never seen a revolver with two turn lines... They Run Parrel with each other and are straight. other than that looks to be carried a fair amount. Any Ideas? thank you all in advance for any info.

Maybe had the cylinder replaced with a used one at some point?

I like that line of thought. Makes me think of possibly having a cylinder from a different gun, too.

I appreciate the replies! Definitely not common thing that I've seen. we'll see if he gets an explanation.

If it is iffy, the price should reflect it. It seems to time up/lock up okay?

Take a look at the cylinder stop (Ruger calls it a bolt) and see if it is making contact with the cylinder at two points corresponding to the two lines.

If it is not, then something weird is going on or has gone on that should be investigated.

"Cylinder latch" . . . Colt parlance is "bolt".
