UPDATE ON THE DPMS .308 MAGAZINES
About three weeks ago, DPMS informed me that they finally had received the very loooooong awaited steel magazines and were accepting the plastic 'POS' magazines in trade-in. Not a bad deal: $15 + $5 S&H with two 10-rd plastic magazines for two 20-rd steel magazines.
So on 22 November I sent them my two plastic mags plus a check for $20. According to the USPS tracking, DPMS received my magazines of the 24th. I waited over a week, and since I had not received anything, I called DPMS and learned the bad news:
Actually, they still didn't have the steel magazines!
From what I was told, I am not the only one who has already sent in the plastic magazines for trade, so I was wondering how many others also are waiting.
Anyone here waiting for the .308 mags?
(BTW, the DPMS Panther LR .308 rifle is excellent and extremely accurate - the only problem was the frequent FTF and FTE due to the plastic magazines.)
