Just imagine for a minute that you pull that golden ticket from your favorite wheelgun maker and they can build you anything that you want within reasonable limitations. What do you go for? Barrel length, caliber, custom touches, grip design, optics, sights, materials, plating, coating, engraving, you name it because remember it’s your golden ticket to build your dream.

I have had mine in mind for a long time but it won’t ever happen. I would be going with a Freedom Arms 30-30 gun modified to 357 Herrett with a 10” barrel with muzzle brake. It would be acid etched on the frame to have an American flag on one side and the outline of the state of Ke Ricky on the other side with a star laid on top of the spot where Christian County is. On the barrel would be a low rise ventilated rib with grooved flat top. The gun would be fitted with a basic target sight setup but would also be drilled and tapped for mounts upon which I would put a quality 4x pistol scope. Make it a bisley grip with high grain Osage orange grips but also ship with a fitted standard plow handle grip frame in buckeye burl. Now that the gun is pretty much perfect give it a light bead blast finish just to break it from being flashy in the woods because I would absolutely be using it.

While tooled up make the exact same gun in 30-30 but leave off the scope and make it a 6” barrel. That ones for my dad.

The revolver in the photo is a K-22 Masterpiece my late father-in-law gave me. I would like another revolver like this with a 4" barrel in 357. Blued, not stainless.

From what I was told on the S

From what I could find out on the S&W forum it is a K22 Masterpiece shipped in 1957. I am not sure if this is the proper answer to your question.
The Model 19 is a blued (or nickel) K-frame .357 with adjustable sights and available 4" barrel. Pretty much identical to your K-22 except in .357 and with a shroud for the ejector rod.
It seems S&W did make your dream revolver, if that is what you're describing? They are fairly easy to find at shows and GB.

It is what I am describing. Heaven forbid but I may look around on Gunbroker. Was a Model 27 the same or close to it?

The M27 is built on the larger N-frame. A little bit rarer and quite a bit pricier.
Here is a 4" M19-

This one has the 3xTs - Target hammer, trigger, and grips, but they came with or without any combination of these.
They are actually still listed as in production as a part of S&Ws "Classic" line.

Clean vintage M19s are not uncommon, and can be found in the $700-1000 range, depending on condition and options.

I got my dream revolver, well sort of.

I’ve been wanting a S&W K-32 k-frame or a Model 16 chambered in 32 SWL. They are as rare as hen’s teeth.

But, I found that Manurhin makes a 32 SWL target revolver, the MR32. It is the same size as a K- frame and is a dream to shoot.

So, my dream revolver itch has been scratched.

929 with 5 inch barrel, Green Fiber Optic front sight, LPA rear sight, Hogue Big Butt Grips with a good trigger job. The current 6.5 inch barrel with a comp is too much. 5 inches would feel better and a compensator is not needed on a revolver. At least, the comp that exists for the 929 doesn't do much. A better design with better gas ports may help even though the 9 mm doesn't have that much recoil.

As much as I want the Ruger PIMP I just talked about in a different topic, I still want the 10mm Rimmed Magnum I've talked about before.

Specs:
-GP100 sized, but it'll be a forged frame
-6 shot
-cut for clips to shoot .40 and 10mm Auto
-the 10mm RimMag has a stronger case head and thicker wall, so it can be loaded to full house .41 Mag power

Somebody will eventually make 250gr .401" boolits, and it will be everything the .41 Mag was meant to be with the cheap and common .40 and 10mm ammo for that vaunted 200gr @ 950 fps police load, the 250gr 10mm RimMag pushing 1250 fps

You can't tell me people wouldn't be interested in a GP100 with .41 Mag level power that can shoot .40 and 10mm. Has to be more people who would buy that revolver than a .22 Hornet Super Redhawk.

I don't have a nice medium-framed DA/SA revolver in a 32 caliber. A S&W would be good. :)

Not that I'd probably shoot it a lot, but that's one of the few things I don't have.

When I went to buy my first handgun about 45 years ago, I knew I wanted either a Colt Python or a Smith and Wesson Model 19. I found out the Colt sold for about twice what the Model 19 did, so I became a Smith and Wesson guy. Today I own both, so I guess I have both of my "dream guns" at last.

But a Smith and Wesson 520 wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I suppose a scaled cylinder and frame 10 shot 22 LR with a 4” barrel would be neat and very light and compact. Even if made from steel.

Really any revolvers scaled to individual respective cartridges would be ideal.

Your posts on that gun is part of what got me thinking about my dream gun again. I’m a huge fan of 32 long but I can’t drop 4k to scratch the itch. I will end up building one off of an old model 10 if I ever get around to it.

I honestly can't think of anything I want, that I don't already have.
Maybe a 1917 type 45 ACP in polished stainless, with a grip custom made to fit my hand and tuned by the best revolver smith that's still alive.
I'm not a big fan of engraving, but a ghost image of the American flag laser engraved on the sides might be cool.
Just have two of those made! Mine with a 3" barrel please.
