Drill and tap magwell ar15

What about a cantilevered M-Lok rail section that attaches to the M-Lok in front of your handguard mount and cantilevers back over the handguard mount towards the mag well to attache a grip. See links below.

Just a suggestion how I mount my AR's is using a stubby vertical grip 2/3's down the rail towards the front (this location would change for a person's arm length) and us a c-grip with my thumb over top the rail and the pad of my hand between the base of pinky finger and wrist pulls against the vertical grip. So I don't grip the vertical grip with my fingers like a bat but use it as a stop against my hand to pull the rifle into my shoulder.

I run a few Fab Defense magwell grips, they work great for me. It can be tight using a 10 round mag but when shooting off a tabletop I like the FabDef grip in conjunction with a bipod.
And I think trying to tap a magwell is just gonna ruin a lower.

Just remember the basic physics of the leverage created by the geometry.

Magwell grip or VFG very close to magwell=less shooter movement per degree of trajectory vector change. That's good for rapid transitioning but bad for stability/accuracy.

I never liked a close-in offhand grip, especially with rifles having 16" or longer barrels, move around too much. Adding suppressors only makes matters worse by adding length and putting a not insignificant mass at the end of your "lever". But I have long arms and shoot with a bladed stance.

I don't try to grab the very end of a 15" handguard like Costa, either, though. Somewhere in between.
