Owen and I hit our grouse spot one last time for the year and will now let it rest, so there'll be a good bird carry over for next season. We got our two-bird limits.

The Simson 90 drilling in 12ga and 7X65R proves to be a good upland gun with the top tang safety and a decent weight for a bigger drilling.

Great pics, I have been thinking about purchasing a drilling for a while now, do you have any pics of the gun? I've always thought if I could get a good drilling I'll rarely hunt with anything else

Here are a couple photos of drillings I use for upland hunting. The top one is a sweet little Sauer Lux 1955 proofed gun in 16ga 2 3/4" and 6.5X57R.

The second one is this Simson 90 (like a Merkel 95/96).

This old Sauer Prussian Charles Daly sidelock 12/12/30-30 is a bit heavy, but it's one of my favorites.
