Driving multi tool

I don't hang out in "Non-Firearm Weapons" much, and certainly didn't expect to find Leatherman multi-tool talk here, but I'm glad I did.

I carry two Leatherman products on the job (EMS.) One is the Wingman, a light basic multi-tool, and the other is the Raptor, a way-cool tool made for medics and ER nurses. This one includes folding trauma scissors, a seat-belt/bandage cutter, oxygen tank key, mini-ruler (wound measurement), and glass punch.

A glass punch should be in every vehicle on the road, just to rescue others or to get out of a vehicle after a wreck or submersion in water. Windows don't go down after you have crushed the battery or if under water pressures.

I bought the Raptor as a car tool. I’m not an EMT, that and GOVX had them on sale and I got a free T-Shirt.

Mine was a gift from Santa a couple of years back after he apparently overheard me telling my wife about other crews that use my rig at work on my days off constantly losing the oxygen key. I hadn't even heard of it, and several other guys on my department went out and bought them after seeing mine. So far, though, mine is the only one I've seen with an "EMS-Orange" scissor handle; all the others I've seen are black.

A Gerber multi-plier, a 119 and a large set of farmer style slip joint pliers in a leather belt sheath are all in the door pocket of my truck. After all, I was a Boy Scout.
