I've been thinking about another pistol specfical for shooting IDPA and at the range today one of the guys who works there showed me an EAA Tanfoglio in 9mm. It looked a lot like my CZ75, but had a more squared off trigger guard. The magwell was beveled, it had a large mag release and some holes drilled into left front of the frame, I guess for mounting a scope rail. It was SA only, with a full length stainless guide rod. The gun felt nice and will use my CZ mags, but they were asking $660 for it...seems high to me; when I look them up I keep getting TZ-75's for like $250. Is this a different gun that I'm looking at, and is it worth the price?

Thanks in advance...

Sounds like a former IPSC gun that probably had a dot sight on it at one time. Did it look something like this? http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=29307979

For the asking price, I would expect a dot sight and 5 mags or so, and probably a compensator on the barrel. It sounds way too high in current configuration. You can get a new one and convert the trigger to SA only if you want and be under $400 with several mags.

More info: I called and they pulled the box and the official model is a "witness limited". Also, it's new in box and unfired (supposedly). Anyone know much about this pistol?

Actually it did look like that without the compensator and sight. Had the same front and backstrap checkering...not sure about the skeleton hammer.
