I have read alot of good reports of fine accuracy on EAA Witness Elite Match and other Witness models.
Has anyone screwed on a red Dot sight and tried shooting Bullseye with one of these pistols?

I have Witness and I like it. But this is not BE gun. It is hard to beat 1911 trigger especially in rapid fire.
just IMHO

I feared this type of answer,
To many magazine reports on EAA making a SA trigger match gun that reviewers claim inch and a half groups at fifty yards.
If they were so swell BE shooters would have found out first.

I own both 1911s and EAA Witnesses.

The 1911s have been around a l-o-n-n-n-g time and the bullseye formula has been well developed. Nobody, AFAIK, has really tried the EAAs tweaked up for bullseye.

At their respective price points, the Witness models are capable of accurate groups--but I think the trigger probably can't be tweaked to the kind of precision BE shooter like.

But, it might be a fun project to do.
