my wife decided to give me one of my christmas presents early this year, she had seen the trouble i had been having with my nylon pancake holsters trying to get them not to let the gun hang out. i'm using a ruger service six 4 inch barrel, she got me a desantis and it is just great. i have always thought i liked nylon better untill now, here is the holster.

I have quite a few DeSantis holsters, mostly for CCW. Good quality leather holsters at a decent price.

I'm a big fan of DeSantis Scabbard holsters. I agree leather compared to nylon is like night and day!
Below is a S&W .357 Magnum in the same holster but I did change the grips before I carried that revolver.

Yup. All of my guns (but for the LCP in a pocket holster) go in my Desantis Scabbard holsters, whether it's the Speed Scabbard, Thumbreak, or Mini-Sllde.

They are good quality, and while not up to the level of a Mitch Rosen I once had, they are rock solid, have never let me down, and are a very good value.

Very nice.
Nylon's only redeaming quality is price, and with Kydex even that can be a wash.
Leather is the only thing I use anymore.

I have a few DeSantis holsters that get regular use. The thumbreak min-slide is one of my favorites but the scabbards are good too. Leather is the way to go for sure. That's a nice holster you got there and I know you will enjoy using it. A world of difference compared to nylon.
