The East German Makarovs are the stuff of legends. I have one and in the safe. I carry my Russian commercial all the time.
If i have to choose a EG mak to a SW SHield , i ll take the EG. If i have to choose between a Walther PP or PPK to a EG, i ll take the EG.
BTW my Russian Makarov shoots really tight groups. Many underestimate the makarov compared to today's small guns but it is never far behind.
As to the CZ 82 i had one year ago. I sold it after fixing the trigger return spring which was a pain to fix. The CZ 82s have more parts to worry and not easy to fix. Read the many in the internet telling their experiences. The Makarov has fewer parts and easier to fix.

That 1969 membership I think was a fluke on gunboards though. The net wasn't in existence back then.
