..eyes....fact is I haven't really followed his life or career much in the past two decades..when I was about 18 or 19(20+ yrs ago) I thought he was the greatest thing..but after reviewing his personal life, politics, and movies recently he may altogether drop out of sight, from my opinion...his many kids from five women of only two he was married to, his vocal support for homosexual marriage, his approval of Sean Penn's visit to Iraq, and although I haven't seen his recent movie about Iwo Jima..I am hearing some real disturbing things about the movie....when I was young he was bigger than life to me, 6'4"(I am six foot two)...but now he is stooped at 6'1"..and seems very much smaller...one reason I don't have heroes, only people who have done admirable things(not movie stars)...goodbye..Clint...

Personally I think he is a stand up guy, even considering his politics. So what if ihe has shifted to the left over the years? He is still Clint.

he may have been to the left as said..but as a movie fan, I have left him ..permanently I think...fact is, with so many bad movies coming out these days, I wonder what good is Hollywood anymore...

I am not sure about that since he was a Republican when he was elected as Mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea in the early 1980s. I believe he shifted left in the last 15 years or so, probably all the sun in California. Though he has stated he is more of a Libertarian in belief, he seems to be too far left to be a classic Libertarian. At least going by his latest movies themes and support for politicans such as Gary Davis, and other leftist. Though their are plenty of leftist that consider themselves Libertarians but are mostly just civil libertarians with strong anti-establishment beliefs.

Not sure about that either. Even though he is a gun owner I am not sure if he supports RKBA for the great unwashed masses. He seems to be an eliteist in this regard.
