I carry the following,

Ruger LCR 38 special, de santis nemesis pocket carry in coats when I wear them, or ankle carry if I'm trying to be sneaky, loaded with federal micro hst 150gn.

Ruger LCP 380, smart band appendix carry in anything most of the time, or DeSantis nemesis if a quick trip, loaded with 380 gold dot, but I want winchester pdx if I ever find some.

Glock 26 9mm, galco king tuk iwb @ 3:30 position when I really want a gun but must conceal, loaded with 147gn winchester ranger T

Glock 17 9mm, galco silhouette high-ride owb or in a galco Miami shoulder rig, when I really want 2-legged protection, loaded with winchester ranger T 147gn

Glock 20 10mm, galco silhouette high-ride own, when I want to hike, loaded with 180gn FMJ hand loads at 1300fps

Ruger Super Redhawk 44 magnum, galco Kodiak chest rig for bear country with 300gn wfn hard cast hand loads at 1300fps.

Or a Ruger Super blawkhawk with some belt holster galco low draw own in 44 mag, same 300 gn wfn 1300fps loads.

I pick ammo based on hunting wisdom (4-legged protection) or gel testing (2-legged protection), the lucky gunner data is why I picked what I have currently along with shootingthebull ammoquest for 380.

KelTec PF9. Still the lightest and slimmest, i.e. most carryable, 9mm I’ve tried. I also think it’s one of the safest - very hard to fire by accident. Always reliable, 7 rd. magazine.

Not the most fun to shoot but I don’t carry it for fun, and it’s weight and size mean I’ll probably have it when I might not bother with anything bigger or heavier.

Something of a poor cousin to the 365s, 43s, &etc, but it’s purpose is to be there, not to impress.

KT P32 when too small is just small enough.

I like the Sigs and Glocks and FNs and others but don’t carry them, all are bigger and/or heavier than the KTs with little advantage.

Nice poll, interesting.

Walther PPS Classic (M1) and it is getting a Holosun 407 mini red dot sunk below sights by a Walther Factory associate company . They said it will have red dot close to co witness with that red dot and their technique . I also have been known to pack a Glock 19 with threaded barrel and a Sig 239 .40 OWB paddle .

Pistol carry is not legal in New Zealand, unless you are taking the pistol to a range or back home. Can't use firearms for self defence either.

EDC varies between a P365, CM9 and a Pico. Very seldom do I feel the need for my G19 where I live. If I did I might opt for the G40 instead.

I've tried to get away from Glock when it comes to the larger pistols but I just can't. I shoot them just fine, have a good supply of magazines and they always work. Sort of like a trusty old shovel. Really, the only one that takes a back seat is the G26 only because the P365 is so much smaller.

  1. Hammer Fire with manual safety: Alloy BHP or Wilson EDC X9
  2. DA/SA: Sphinx Sub Compact
  3. Revolver/NY Reload: S&W 642

@WrongHanded - Using any weapon for self defence in NZ is likely to get you into big legal trouble, but firearms and knives especially so. If you kill another person with a firearm, you will most likely face a charge of murder. Pistols can only legally be owned if you have a standard licence with a B-category endorsement, which requires that you are an active member of a pistol club and have a police approved safe with walls at least 1/4" thick.

Since this is the Semi-Auto forum I currently carry a Kahr CM9. If revolvers are allowed in, then it's either a S&W Model 649 or else a Model 638. In the past I would have said a Colt Combat Commander in .45 ACP or a Colt Officer's Model, also in .45 ACP, and a Colt Mustang .380 so that would be three with Hammer Fired with a manual safety.

Note - the above is a complete photo edit by me, no such prototype exists...unfortunately

You had me going there for a brief moment...until I scrolled down a little bit further and saw your disclaimer! I was starting to wonder "How did that model get past me. I was just on their website the other day and there was no mention of this"!

I would be so all-in with such a micro sized P07S! I can see the ad campaign for it now: "If you like the compact sized P07, you're really going to love the new sub-compact sized P07S!"

Thanks for the info.
