Try this for an eye-opener -- It should be sent to every person you know.

George Bush and the Republicans have darn near handed our country on a silver platter to those with whom we differ philosophically and politically.

95% of your 18 to 30-yr old children WILL vote for Obama, because of what they have been indoctrinated to believe by the education system that we Americans have allowed to infiltrate our society.

The leftists WILL get after your guns the instant they get the majority in Congress and the Senate.

If it isn’t already too late 4-years from now, have the courage to back a candidate that actually attempts to comprehend the constitution and the principals this country was founded on. And remember – every talking head on TV & radio, on either side of the political spectrums, is no more than a propagandist for one of the two ruling parties that have delivered us to the conditions we are in today:

$4.00 per gal gas, and rising.

A looming financial crisis that is threatening to crush the average American.

Our manufacturing base is gone… up in smoke & mirrors.

Remember these thoughts next time you vote for either candidate from either of the two ruling parties.

Interesting video

Not that I was going to vote for Obama, but he has gotten a relatively free ride up to this point.

Alot of young people will vote for him, but our youth isn't that dumb.

When my space had their election, Obama did win, but second place was Ron Paul, so there is hope for our youth.

When substance comes out, Obama will lose.

In the event he does win, we can all just get together, pray and then pass the ******tion.

I would be the 5% that would not vote for Obama, but don't get pissed at us(kids) for the problems in this country, OLDER people are the dominant voting machine and ELECTABLE so stop saying kids are the problem.

Seriously, if your so worried about losing your guns, why don't you give every kid the chance to purchase extended lay-away plans so they can flood the country with gun owners when they finally turn the legal age without having to worry about bans and inflating costs.

Hey and guess what, I had a friend who's middle name was Adolf and I would have personally broken anyone's nose for saying he was a Nazi, not to mention what he would have done.

I also knew a kid whose last name was Farah in middle school. He was from Mogadishu, Somalia, and yes he remembered the fighting there and remembered when the city exploded with violence when the Americans came. I also knew a Serb, who talks about how his family fled the country after the war broke out and how his family only talks about killing Albanians and how he would have to go back to Serbia and fight if the U.N. left.

When you think the sky is falling, why don't you remind yourself that you are an American, you are the most privileged person on this planet. YOU have the resources to solve your problems and by coming on THR and spewing your hate for people with different names, your only making gun-owner's problems bigger by scaring away the people that could help us the most.

When you are lying on the ground getting kicked in your stomach by the very politicians you placed your trust in, I'm just going to step aside and tell you not to complain over a stomach ache.

Speaking out about a politician's record, or lack thereof, is not hate, unless of course you are a product of the current non-education system in America.

Speaking out IS the most FUNDAMENTAL way of provoking political change in America, which is why the left will brand as hate any truth they don’t want the masses to hear. Accusing someone of hate when they present facts that you don't like diminishes your credibility. If you have a resonable explaination for why Mr. Obama (that IS his name, after all) refuses to wear an American Flag lapel pin, or to place his hand upon his heart during the National Anthem, then present your argument -- but don't tell me I hate because I am doing everything possible to present the FACTS about Mr. Obama to as many American's as possible.

Wisdom is something that can only be earned through a lifetime of observation combined with some common sense, not something you are endowed with by the shear luck of learning to speak.

Quick Karl, the blue font is pretty hard for some to read--you'll get more people to read it if you leave it as the standard black.

American Flag lapel pin

When did presidents start wearing American Flag Pins?

Your just beating a dead horse on this site, which is a firearms site not a political site.

which is why the left will brand as hate any truth they don’t want the masses to hear.

There you go with left/right stuff that has no reason to be on this site since it is a firearms site and both sides will do anything to get in power and stay in power. You are labeling left, liberals, and Democrats as conniving, secret police wannabes which really doesn't help gunowner's image in anti-gun eyes.

I'll take your accusation that it was luck that I learned to speak as false since I can write and listen too.

What really got me agitated about your post was the first minute of that video where they focus on how Obama has Islamic names. That isn't any different in my eyes than saying he is a bad candidate only because he is black.

And later it talks about how dangerous it is to talk to our enemies. In 1962, would you have had the missiles launched because the only good soviet is a dead soviet? Maybe we should worry more about ourselves, like education and other social problems instead of some crazy islamo-facist on the other side of the world.

Back to firearms, I just look at the fact that the 94 AWB lost the Democrats congress and launched the 'assault rifle' to be as popular today. If Obama can find the time to fix Iraq, the economy, national security, education, national spending, and others I would seriously doubt he could find the time to draft a firearms legislation even close to the AWB. Anyways, like a said earlier, I am not voting for him, but I guess I am a product of the American non-education system, so what do I know.

His association with Reverend Wright, and the fact that he claims he did not know of Reverend Wright's preaching, is not only an absurd abject lie, but is all the reason I need to dismiss him as a complete and utter phony.

And in spite of your accusations, it has nothing to do with his skin color, because first, he is not black, he is only half black - and second, I would dismiss any person who would associate with the preaching of Reverend Wright, regardless of heritage.

18-30 year olds don't vote.

Hey - that's not *all* true! :D

I have nothing to back me up, but my guess is that if you're 18-30 (maybe 18-25) and vote, you're generally someone who's very aware of politics and have strong views on the subject. As opposed to the older age group who may vote despite *not* having a strong inclination one way or the other.

So... your suggestion is that we all vote for McCain?!?

...because there isn't another candidate out there.

Curse the bipartisan system. Ron Paul should have gone independent.

Maybe Obama is a Marx wannabe, socialist, gun grabbing, non European named, half-black man, but he sure makes people believe that alot of the faulty policies that Bush implemented, which have tainted the USA, will be done away with. McCain basically assures that those policies will remain in place for another Four. I think it's as simple as that.

As much as I think that this is an important discussion to have, especially in an election year, this is not the forum to do it in... as it is not gun related, but only references guns as a side note.

APS is probably a better place for this discussion, as this post *should* get locked.

Not all people in that age range are total morons, I am at the younger end of that and I don't buy into the bull**** allot of politicians spew.

The truth is it feels like it doesn't matter who I vote for as I will get screwed no matter what.

Where is the person who will care about my freedom? :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

I agree wholeheartedly.

But what if Obama turns out to be the closet-phony than I believe he is?

I started this thread because I believe that if a Democrat gets elected POTUS, and they win a majority in the House and Senate, they will surely come after our gun rights.

I posted the link to the video to get people to SEE some plain facts about Mr. Obama, so that people can form their own opinion and vote accordingly, and hopefully against giving control of the POTUS, House, and Senate, to the one party that has consistently endeavored to reduce our gun rights.

In no way have I endeavored to agitate or insult anyone or their opinions.

Mr Obama has the most liberal voting record of anyone in the Senate, even Ted Kennedy and Chuck Schumer. Even John Edwards, questions all of his "Present" votes on important issues. Obama does what is expedient for his election. Aside from these points, we don't know much else about this man.

I suggest taking a closer look at Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate.

I apologize if you percieved my post to imply that every 18 to 30-yr old is a moron as nothing could be further from my intention, but I do believe that the greater majority of 18 to 30-yr olds will cast the Obama vote, for the wrong reasons.

18 to 30 year olds are no more liberal than any other generation at that age. The Boomers were one of the most liberal generations ever in their youth, and they've turned out to be every bit as politically divided as the generations before them. If the young folks vote for liberal causes, it is because that is how they are now thinking, just as their parents did twenty and thirty years ago.

Many young people recognize the BS they are shoveled. The young people today are quite possibly the most media-savvy and cynical generation ever raised. Remember, this is the generation who grew up knowing that what they saw on TV and in movies was computer generated, not reality. If anything, they're far harder to fool.

However they vote, their reasons for voting will be every bit as reasoned as the reasons of their parents and grandparents. Whine about them casting Obama votes all you want, but there's more than enough Boomers and Builders going all ga-ga over the guy too. Yet, many will look at him and recognize the empty suit.

You're welcome to your opinions, but I think you're mistaken. Yes, many will vote liberal, but that has more to do with youthful vigor leaning towards liberalism and not with being indoctrinated with PC crap in school.

Im 29. I believe when this country became independent, not on independence day, no disrespect intended, it was the greatest country on Earth. But we gave that up for free trade and political correctness. I am not going to vote for anyone this election term. I don't agree with any of them and I will not support their self-serving agendas. You may call me a radical. But this in no way detracts from me protecting my rights as a human on this planet. If you don't support them, your obviously against them. I will not cast a vote for anything that I don't support.

Furthermore, no thats about all.....

One hyphenated word:
write-in.

I have voted at every chance for every general election and referendum since I turned 18. As a second generation American, I learned from my father a lot of the civics no longer tought in the government-run schools. Etiquette of the Flag- what's that? The way I see it, young people my age (18-35) are politicaly active for the wrong reasons; they are more for self-advancement than doing what is right for our country.

Self advancement is doing whats right for this country, I fail to see whats wrong with advancing ones self. If you advance yourself you won't need the goverment.

Now there's a real twist if I ever saw one! :banghead:

Doing what is right for this country oft times requires putting your own selfish interest aside, for the benifit of future generations.

Thats the same bull**** the anti gun people try to pull, "making a better world" crap.

I will always vote for myself, the truth is everyone does.

Okay, time out.

How the hell does this BS not get locked or deleted, but this thread:

Gets locked?

Sure, I guess some things slip through the cracks, but this is nothing but a whacked out attack ad on Obama based largely on issues either beyond his control, or have been beaten like a dead horse. If someone wants to make a political attack ad, they could at least make the effort to highlight the candidate's infractions of the Constitution and run with that.

BTW< I am going to try to make a "just in case" purchase before November. :D
