anybody know which one the jungle carbine takes and where to pick one up?

The Jungle carbine...

takes the same mag as the No 4 Enfield rifle. Military Gun Supply in Fort Worth had a box of them last time I was there a few months ago. They were around 30 bucks or so. Ebay has them all the time too.....chris3

Is yours a .303 or .308? I know some "jungle carbines" being sold were modified versions of the Ishapore 2A ...

its the 303 nikdfish. thx ball 3006 i saw plenty of those mags online for $25 but wasnt sure if theyd fit just knew my mk3 mags didnt.

ProMag and other aftermarket No4 magazines are not usable. The only aftermarket mag that has ever worked out are the old Golden State Arms 5 round mags that were made in Japan in the 60's for the Sporters they made. A good No4 mag is 40-50 bucks.

mags for these rifles were not really made to change out.like we think of changeing mags. they used stripper clips to load from. back in the 1960's a mess of these mags was dumped on market cheap. they all had to be fitted to work in your rifle, and then that was hit or miss feeding.
get one or two true brit mags and fit to your rifle, and stock up on stripper clips this is what I did years ago when shooting my britts.

thanks guys i was going to take a chance on promag even though they have a crappy reputation but since i can get real mags ill order them instead. the one my gun came with doesnt feed properly from the right side, the bullet is too low and the point gets gouged when i close the bolt.

gun shoots great if i only use the rounds that feed from the left side though lol

You need to adjust your mag to your rifle. The feed lips need to be bent. After you get it working do not slap loaded magazine into rifle, that will bend the feed lips. Load through the top with chargers or single cartridges.

You will most likely have to adjust a brand new magazine to your rifle.
