I have an Enfield No4 Mk1 that has been sporterized before I got it. It's in nice shape but was missing the rear sight. I purchased same from Numrich, actually two sights, a "flip" sight p/n 486280 and a ladder type that seems to be calibrated for 200 to 1300 yards p/n 486270. Problem is that I'm missing the mounting pins and can not determine, from the schematics what these part numbers are.
The No4 has on the rear of the receiver, two "ears" that the flip sight nestles in there are holes through the ears and the sight for a pin, also a groove through the hole on the left ear for another pin to hold the first pin in place. Something here must be spring loaded ?
The ladder type does not seem to mount anywhere so there must be a missing piece, also not identifiable in the schematic.
Any No.4 experts out there who could spare a few words of wisdom ?
Thank you.
