Seems like everyone who leaves this state celebrates it, and I'm no different. I met a lady from Vegas last year and we got married 1/03, and she moved here to No. CA.. But, she misses her kids too much and we're now moving to Vegas in 3 weeks.

In preparation I applied for a Nevada CCW and that should be here in the next couple of weeks.

Having been in Kali all my life I still can't believe I will be able to buy a gun and take it home right then, and even buy all the weapons that are banned here. I saw the video of the Las Vegas Shooters and I can't wait to meet you guys! :D

I hope to with meet up with you Vegas shooters, and don't be afraid to holler at me if you want to go shooting! :p

Vote against Davis before you go. Please?

BTW, congratulations on your marriage & move.:cool:

And although it'll feel like it at the time, you really don't need a passport to get back in the USA yet. Welcome home. :)

As a US citizen, freedom is your birthright and herritage. Now you will finally have some. It is certainly a sad commentary that you have to leave your home state to be free!

Watch for huge purchases of barbed wire, bricks, and concrete by the government! :evil:

Nevada is a good choice for 2nd, but you have to register handguns with the sheriffs office in Clark County (Vegas and sourroundings). As far as I know, there is no single case that proofed this registration helpful.

I'm outta California too. Sick of it. Funny seeing all these threads lately about people leaving. I heard just last week that since 1995 the state has lost 600,000 existing residents - but gained 4 million in immigrants - wow. I'll now be calling North Carolina my home (Charlotte). I will however miss the beauty of the state - and diving at Catalina.

I assume that you have gotten permission to move from Ministry of Control in Sacramento.....or do you plan on tunneling under the wall???:evil:
 
vegas has a cheaper cost of living then reno. reno has a cheaper cost of living than Carson City. its funny really. dont believe i have an easy way to prove this. ask me how
 
SaxonPig, I was lucky enough to buy my current house in Kali when prices were way down, and sold it for over double what I paid for it. We're buying a much bigger house in extreme NW Vegas and I'd say that house is 50k cheaper than what it'd be in my current neighborhood. :p

I'd love to hang around and vote for guns and against Davis, but we won't be here long enough. :rolleyes:

I can't wait to walk into Discount Guns in Henderson (my favorite place so far) and plunk down some money and leave with a gun! :D
 
I spent ten years in the People's Republic of California. It's a beautiful place, and I'm sure I'll always miss the beaches—but it was packed to the rafters with illegal aliens, socialist parasites, nut cases, and more illegal aliens.

I'm much happier back in the United States, and don't doubt you will be, too.

We also checked out Machine Gun Kelly's, The Gun Store (where I had the CCW class), and the place on Arville with the range (American Shooter Supply?). I'd never seen full auto weapons before at all, and here you could rent them! Must be Heaven! :D

Yea, I've been here all my life and will miss the riding my Valkyrie in the mountains the most. Put 31k miles on it in two years here, but we'll just have to "cross" back in and go riding through Yosemite and the Sierras.:)
 
I did 40 years in the PRK, and don't regret leaving. I miss family, friends, and mockingbirds (no real songbirds here in Salt Lake) but not enough to go back.

Even my wife is convinced!

Sad. It USED to be a decent state. :(
 
I moved out of the state 12 years ago. I still have relatives and good friends there, but I certainly don't miss the state at all!

I'd love to see how many businesses alone have left since Davis "handled" the energy crisis like he did. I don't know why any major business would stay here, to tell you the truth. Of course, many haven't! :uhoh:
 
Also, when the tax break for manufactures expires. Then the companys that make things will have no reason to stay. But why would anyone want to live where real estate prices have gone thru the roof and the state welfare is one of the highest in the country and all the cool guns are against the law. It's a no brainer for a freedom loving citizen.:evil:

I don't shoot with those guys you saw on that previous thread. I have been invited many times, but I am not into that kind of stuff, but if you ever shoot at Desert Sportsman's you might run in to me.
 
Hi 444! I'd like to shoot with you sometime! I don't know where Desert Sportsman's is but I've only been to 2 ranges in Vegas, both indoor. Our house is not far from Floyd Lamb State Park and the range there, although all I could see there was skeet and trap.
