Ever buy a gun just so you could load for it?

No. But I bought one to use up ammo that did not work in my AR. I had 1000 rounds of Russian .223 that my AR did not like so I bought a Saiga .223 and it eats it all.

Yeah, there have been a few like that. I bought a .480 Ruger just to load for it. That was so much fun I bought a .454 Casull. Likewise, my .270 WSM was a super great buy because of the expensive factory ammo. But it was so fun loading for it, I went out and found a .325 WSM to load for it as well.

I bought a .357 Marlin 1894 just because I thought it would have some versatility in Handloading.
Eventually I discovered the change in impact of different loads led me to stick to the full power 158gr magnum loads and leave all the light bullet or .38 power levels behind

For some reason I'm dying to load and shoot 10mm. I can't even explain why. Course, i don't have a 10mm weapon. Anyone here load 10's?

Contagious

Just started in the world of reloading, a little overwhelmed at first, but Im slowly getting it figured out. Bought a model 94 Win. in .32 WS. Can't wait to reload for this gun.

Same experience here. What the folks harping about a 357 carbines versatility fail to mention is that POI can shift several FEET at even 50yds depending on load.

As to the original question I've bought every non levergun 30/30 made just for the pure fun of loading for it. These include two savages one rem788 and a BFR revolver

I have just because I felt it would be an easy transition.

44 magnum now that's some fun! Have not fired anything but reloads. Bunny fart to 1200 FPS Mag.
