Mods, please feel free to move this to the correct thread if I accidentally posted it in the wrong one.

First of all – my disclaimer. What follows is not any marketing ploy or product hype. I have no relationship with Crimson Trace Corporation. I am not being paid anything for this post. I have never been associated with this company and I have no relatives or friends that work for Crimson Trace –although I feel I can call their Customer Service guys FRIEND now!! And I feel that the rest of the firearm community should know about it as well.

OK here is what happened:-
- A couple of months ago I bought Crimson Trace Laser grips – model LG-302 – for my Beretta 92FS. These grips come with ambidextrous side activation switches placed on both grip panels, right where your middle finger would reach it comfortably.
- The grips functioned perfectly right out the box and fitting was a cinch. Initial dry sighting indicated accuracy without any adjustment. Proof was in the pudding – I went to the range and test fired a box. Accuracy proved excellent – with allowance for the human element.
- Through carrying I however found that the activation button on the right hand grip panel was digging into the palm of my hand. Just enough to be an irritation – blame it on my softie office hands!! I was thinking of actually trimming the button down to the level where it would still activate, but not be an irritation, but then I thought why ruin a perfectly good set of laser grips with a mod that might not quite work.
- I knew CTC had a user forum on their website and I took the chance of contacting them through the forum to find out if they would consider ‘upgrading’ my LG-302 to the new LG-402M grips that comes with an activation button of the front strap, rather than on the side panels.
- CTC Customer Service reps were extremely helpful in resolving the situation. In my honest opinion, these folks went above and beyond in addressing my request.
- CTC offered to take my LG-302 grips back for full retail credit and I only had to pay the difference between the price of the grips and an additional $10 for shipping. This is more than generous on their part. Considering that there was nothing wrong with the LG-302 grips – they performed 100% right out of the box. They did not have to give me full retail credit on a product that most any other place would consider used.
- Last night I received the new grips. I have been able to fit and test them as of time of writing this, but I am totally confident that they will perform 100% - like the previous set did.

This is an example of a company exceeding customer expectations.
I work in the retail business – sell Toyotas (cheap plug – :p). My dealer principle is a Customer Service fanatic and we have established a reputation in our region as THE dealership.
In my opinion CTC even exceeded our service levels. There are not many companies that have user forums on their websites, but CTC has the cojones to put their customer service issues right out in the public eye!!!
From a product quality and customer service perspective I can recommend CTC as THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY.

Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you want any additional information.

I recently picked u pa CZ P-01 with "factory" crimson trace grips, and I love them. I haven't had the chance or need to deal with their customer service, but the product is a very good one. They were dead on out of the box, and I don't even have to try to hit the target with these things. Of course holding the gun steady would make me more accurate. the only slight issue I might have, is hey will make finding a kydex holster a little more difficult as there is a slight bulge on the side.

No link right now, as I'm at work and all fun stuff is blocked, but I'm sure someone else can. Just google crimson trace and you can probably find them. Maybe I can take some pics of mine when I get home.

Range report

I just returned from the local range after installing the new CTC grips last night.

What an awesome experience!!!!

Grips feel awesome and very comfortable.

I did not have to make the slightest adjustment to the laser.Strait out of the box,it was spot on.

I shot 3mags at 20ft and ended up with one bg ragged hole in the center, bar a few flyers - but that is the human element.

Essentially you put the lead where the red shows :D:D:D

Thanks for the post - it's nice to hear good things about products instead of complaints. I'm saving up for the the CT grips for my M&P.
