I am buying a Taurus .22 MAG model 941ss4 ...for me now, my grandchildren later...it is an 8 shot, that's right 8 shot .22 MAG. It is a great trail/fun gun..The single action pull is acceptable but the DA pull is seriously heavy, I mean it feels like it must be a 20# pull...Now, I don't plan to do a lot of shooting in double action, but is there a simple fix for this particular revolver with this problem?

This is not uncommon with .22 revolvers. Assuming there is no defect such as internal binding, the manufacturers put a very heavy hammer spring in them to ensure that the hammer (which, compared to a cocked SA, has less stored energy and travel when in DA mode) strikes the cartridge rim hard enough for reliable ignition.

I checked Wolff Gunsprings' site and they show spring kits for Taurus small-frame revolvers but are not recommended for the 941. Also, a good gunsmith can fit and polish internal parts for less friction, but I don't know who does this for Taurus.

I think it's just the nature of them.
Reduced power spring weights that work fine in S&W .22's cause mis-fires in a Taurus.

Apparently, they got the angle of the dangle wrong when they designed them.
