if i tried that, i would shoot my hand.

Not if you were using blanks as well. Listen to the audio.....

"We'll set this target up about eight feet away because I'm shooting blanks, now."

He's still faster than fast.....but for actually hitting with a bullet.....nope. It's the force of the blast from blanks popping the balloons.

Still....that's pretty, well.....fast!

It would still probably hurt your hand.

Bob is a very nice guy in real life and Bob does love Bob. He's a great self promoter but is truly the fastest six gun alive. He has done action jobs on a couple of my father's pistols and the cool thing about that is he personally does the work.

check out any of his dvd's and you'll see plenty of live fire stuff shooting 250gr. 45LC's at 750fps. He does the same balloon stunt but with man size silhouettes and live rounds and it isn't any slower. If you watch his live fire you'll see he has a bullet deflector mounted by his leg in case of a accidental discharge. He's the real deal.

I'm going to contact him and see if I can help him with his speed some, try to get him a little faster:D

I was thinking (after seeing both puffs of smoke in the slo-mo) that if he can fire blanks that fast, why couldn't he fire real rounds that fast?

I'm guessing the blanks were for safety since all those people were around watching (including the downrange cameraman).

Thanks cat9x! I guess he does!

I saw this guy on a shooting show in the outdoor network before that network went bye bye. He was shooting balloons at 150 yds with a .38 snubbie, and he was hitting every time. He started at 25 yds. and kept backing it up all the way out to 150. I don't care how cocky you are 150 yds with a .38 snubbie is impressive.

on his DVD he shoots a ballon at 200 yards off-hand with a Freedom Arms SA 454 casull.

That's awesome. I'd say that he uses blanks because then he doesn't have recoil so it's easier to do. Unbelievable. Sure he's a bit arrogant but dang he could shoot you and have the gun back in his holster before anyone even saw it. I like the leather badge though, kinda gaudy.

Ya um something tells me no auto can go that fast. That darn good shooting. He has earned the right to be cocky in my book.

Well, he says he is anyway.

As I recall:
He held some fast-draw world records back in the 50's or 60's when the sport was really popular. Then he got beat, and had a major disagreement with the sanctioning body.

After that, he proclaimed himself the fastest gun alive, but wouldn't go into competition again to prove it.

IMO: I have seen him shoot, I have seen Bill Jordan shoot, and I have seen Jerry Miculek shoot.

The difference is, Bill Jordan would kill you with a .357 S&W before you could blink or see him draw.

Jerry Miculek might if he had the stomach to shoot someone that was shooting back, which is an unknown.

But Bob would blast them both with a SA & blanks from 8 feet.

I've never heard him be that cocky before.
I've never seen him that young before.

Munden's exibition shooting is amazing and a lot of fun to watch (and he makes for somewhat of an ambassador for the shooting sports), but honestly Bill Jordan and Jerry Miculek have a lot more useful things to teach us.

like i posted earlier, check out his dvd, plenty of live fire not blanks. How many people do you think actually attempt fast draw with live rounds? His dvd shows him competing in Bianchi cup using a SA revolver and doing well enough to win money. That kinda skill speaks for itself.
