Need help as this is out of my element. I need a 30 mm high return to zero scope mount for a loaner scope I will get to field in the next week or two (if all goes well - try before you buy deal). Front lens is 70mm, hence the high parameter. The RTZ aspect isn't absolute, but would be beneficial. Suggestions? Budget is <$300

Then it is either an option of buying a bunch of risers or buying a riser RTZ mount to gun under the ADM. That was exactly what I was trying to avoid.

I think a standard 1.4" AR height mount should just barely clear a 70mm objective without additional risers involved. There's upto 1.9" hight mounts out there now that should be plenty tall.

I really don't think there's any such thing as a true return to zero mount, although there are some that get pretty darn close.

In my experience, I've found that the ability of a mount to RTZ is a direct function of the amount of clamping area the mount has. The bigger/longer the clamps, the better the RTZ.

Usually, a good qd mount should put you within .1 mil or .5 moa or so back on target.

I've recently been using the Trijicon Q-Lok mounts. They work really well, but as a general rule, I don't put qd anything (except for a bipod) on a precisionish build; and whether QD or not, I reconfirm zero at the longest distance I can get my hands on if I have to remove the optic for any reason.
