Some do. There's one about the greatness of the Garand, and there's my favorite: "They're ivory. Only a ....".
 
Since you ask, tpaw, I'll offer some advice he gave to his nephew, Special Agent Fred Ayer.

(The USA supplied the equipment (guns) which allowed three full divisions of French citizens during WW II to fight in France.)

oh yea! He also said:

"I will shoot any one of you who ever had his picture taken with a smile on his face! "

(I have no context for the second quote though..)

Here's one of my favorite paragraphs cleaned up a little:
"I don't want to get any messages saying, "I am holding my position." We are not holding a G******** thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy's b****. We are going to twist his b**** and kick the living s*** out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like c*** through a goose; like s*** through a tin horn!"

Few posts in this thread about guns, and several which -- by the standards we hold here -- should result in infractions issued to members for posting expletives.

Any profanity posted here -- even if you "bleep" it out with asterisks or *$#^ characters earns you a "straighten-up" chat with a Mod.

So, rather than issue infractions and/or hope that this turns gun-related -- CLOSED.
