A couple of shortages, and price increases, ago, I wanted to simplify my powder needs. The vast majority of my revolver loads are light to midrange and with cast bullets so Bullseye and Unique can meet my needs from 32 long to 45 Colt. (Although I prefer 3F Goex for 45 Colt.) I stocked up on those powders. The few times I want more oomph in magnums I use 2400, which I also use in 22 Hornet and 222 Remington so that's convenient.
I took a similar approach to rifle cartridges but that's another topic.
