FBI Background Check System Down?

Has anybody bought a gun from a dealer in the last day or so?

One of my friends was telling me that the system has been down for two days now.

Can anybody let me know if this is true or not?

I was not down in Memphis .I emailed GOA a while back with a similar question and they got back to me very fast.
 
Thankfully in AZ a CCW exempts you from having to endure a call to NICS. I've never been delayed but at times like this where their phone system could potentially go down due to the storm, or be swamped by calls from folks deciding to arm themselves, it's handy to not need to go through that hassle.
 
I just bought a Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro yesterday at ~6:30pm. Background check had no hitches for me.
