Very well made, I've handled them on several occasions. Once you get past the paintball gun look they have, you'll notice that they are extremely modular. It seems that police recruits in my area are required to supply their own carbine type rifle which must be chambered in a pistol caliber. Don't buy them thinking that you'll be able to swap out non Feather parts, it just ain't gonna happen. I don't own one primarily because they are pretty expensive and for that money I'd rather have something else.
Feathers are reliable and well made. I don't know for a fact, but I would be shocked if their customer service isn't out of this world. They are extremely modular in almost all aspects, which is nice. YOu can order them from the factory pretty much in any configuration you want. I like them just fine.
I bought a Feather .22lr back in '91 or '92. Came with two 20rd mags. I paid $225 for it.
It has belonged to my Godson since 2000. It is still running strong and is still a favorite to shoot when we go out to the desert.
At first glance they seem to be much more expensive now. But then I noticed if you price a plain-jane model without all the extras (rails, scopes, etc), they are much more reasonable. ETA: Priced at a gun show, not from their website.
I consider them more of a fun/plinking rifle. Not something I would take with me when <insert favorite zombie/teowawki/shtf senerio here>
I always seem to catch myself eying up their 9mm and 45acp models at the gun shows.
