Hey Guys and Dolls

These FEDERAL TACTICAL BUCKSHOT LAW ENFORCEMENT
HIGH ENERGY-LOW RECOIL shells for sale in 00,000 and #4 buck shot. I have a Beretta 1201 FP. How well do the work in a semi-auto? How do the Federal compare to the Estate rounds of the same type?

Which do you you prefer #4 00 or 000

And .....Which do you you prefer the Fedral or the Estate?

Thanks

Haven't tried the FEd load, but someone whose opinions I trust implicitely did. Good results, he plans on buying lots more.

The Estate stuff patterns 4-6" tighter at 25 yards than my old duty load, or the old fashioned Fed 00.

As for 00,000 or 4 Buck, depends on the mission and the shotgun. I've a hunch the best all around size for "Serious" use may be 1 Buck, but it'll take a lot more shooting to confirm or negate that opinion.

HTH...

I have only tried the Estate and was really happy with it. Locally, it costs $7 for a box of 10 which is a little much IMO, but I can get it from CheaperThanDirt for about $4. Recoil was significantly less than a 3" magnum load.

I have shot the Federal LE stuff in 00, 000 & slug. I have some #4 but I have yet to test it.
It is very soft shooting and I am not too sure how it will work in a semi.
The 00 patterns best for me so far.
I get it for 37.00 / 50 (or 149.00 for 250) from these guys.

Not cheap but I don't shoot it much. It is not welcome on the clay ranges! ;)

Rusher,

The Fed LE 00 buck and 1oz slugs run fine in my m1s90, which is pretty much the same gun as the 1201fp. Surprisingly, I've had two FTFs with the slugs and not the buck. I've dumped ~100 of each through my gun.

I enjoy the Estate low recoil 00 buck. CTD sells it for about $3
per 10 shells. That aint much more than your average birdshot.
Winchester low recoil sell for nearly twice the price.
BTW, it kicks like birdshot, too!

The Federal Tactical 00 and 000 work very well in my light sxs. I keep a couple of rounds my belt while upland hunting in the event I encounter something where larger shot is required.

It patterns beautifully through the Sk and LM barrels. I haven't seen any #4 but prefer that shot if dealing with varmints. I'd like to get ahold of some in that size.

Never had a problem cycling Fed Reduced loads in my 1201fp. Use 00, 000, slug.
