Anyone use these or have any input on them? The LEO teaching my CCW class this weekend strongly recommended them for a number reasons. Mostly due to the impossibility of your CC being exposed and some anti-gunner calling the cops on you because he/she caught a glimpse of your CC, and felt threatened. They open really fast, and seem like they would be pretty handy. I'm just not a fannypack kind of guy, but trying to keep my options open.

The Galco version is nice. I've used them with revolvers and auto's.
In the course of your daily routine, do you see others wearing waist packs?
The general intent of a concealment system is that the wearer blends into their environment. If the waist pack would work for you the Galco version is a good choice. I always tuck the retention strap out of the way and attach a bob of some sort to the pull cord. The draw from a waist pack can be relatively fast, with practice.
Good luck in whatever you choose.

I've got a Galco Escort that I primarily use when I'm out running errands in athletic shorts with no belt,

I carry a 5" 1911. It even has a slot for an extra mag. Great product.

Given that, in pants that use a belt, I'll carry either a 1911 or a Glock 30 on the belt, and a S&W 640 in a Mika poket holster

I bought a Medium Galco Escort a few years ago for my 4" Colt Diamondback and it was OK but a little heavy. I just bought a Ruger LCR (.38 snub) and for that it is absolutely perfect. Can load it up with a couple of speed strips, cell phone, etc and reamain absolutely comfortable with no worries of exposure.
