Concealed Campus Graphics (was Feedback wanted - graphics)

Edit again: Being limited to 5 pics/post, I'll re-post the graphics as a new thread so they can all go together.

I've been playing around with some graphic designs for the October 22-27 campus protest. Possibly to put on a tee shirt. Here's a sample pic. I have several versions I'm considering, different colors, fonts, border/no border, etc. Possibly some w/ a gun silhouette to convey the point better. This is one slogan I've come up with.

What do you think? I hope it doesn't come across as menacing or threatening or mall-ninja-y in any way. *I* don't think so, I like it, but feedback would be appreciated!

I gather that statement is directed at student level opposition.

This may not seem like much help, but .. it's perfect.

A heart-felt, heart-strong and concise statement.

Don't change a thing.

I think it's pretty good. The empty holster protest idea is fantastic. It will show students just how many of you might be armed on a daily basis, all without their knowledge. And yet, there won't be a "wild west shootout" in the middle of lecture.

Another tip... Make sure you act completely normally when you wear your empty holster so that the other people in your classes will see that you're just a regular guy and that wearing a gun doesn't change the fact that you're the same guy who sat next to them in lecture all year. Too often we're stereotyped as "gun nuts". Try to be as normal, calm, cool, and collected as possible to help dispel that myth.

It sounds directed at the reader. I would suggest rewording to remove "your" so it's less hero-esque. I applaud your efforts and what you're doing. Maybe "I would rather attend classes than memorials" and have your website under that.

It is perfect as is. Point them to the web site, as the topic can't be summed up concisely. Don't use gun images, just text.

I agree that you should omit a graphic. All text makes it seem more sincere and serious.

Thank you for all the compliments! I should add that the credit for the phrase goes to my mother, who came up with it off the top of her head after I'd been racking mine for witty slogans.

To those who asked, anyone is welcome to use them (as long as it's for a pro-gun purpose!). I should have a few different designs and sizes up by the end of the day. I'll be sure to add one that can be used for a round button, Thain.

I won't be wearing the holster, unfortunately, but good advice just the same. I think a T-shirt could possibly attract *more* attention, but that's OK by me. Hopefully it'll encourage students to visit the website or start a conversation.
BTW, in case the pink didn't tip you off, I'm not a guy. :)

You know what?
I'm gonna try to get that spread around the blogs when the press reports on the campus empty holster day

For the purpose you stated, I think the design works. If I were to make a change, I would make the lines have sharp angles not rounded ones, and change the color of the lines around the words to a blood red to emphasize the passion of the words and topic of discussion. A simple hint of color can make all the difference in getting a message across. Otherwise, keep it simple and legible. Remember the purpose of the work/design, and don't over think it.
