FFL myths,

What is kind of fun is when we get a gun from somewhere through UPS or FedX or USPS and there is no indication of who it is for and sometimes, even not where it is from other than the mailing label. We log it in, put it in the back room and wait for someone to inquire. Our normal process is for the person wanting a gun shipped to us to come in, warn us, fill out the 4473 and give us a fax no. to send our FFl to the sender. Some, somehow, manage to get it shipped to us with none of the prep.

Some sit there for weeks.

gees...
that would suck, I mean think about the poor guy trying to remember who he had his gun sent to...

I know a local shop that charges through the nose for transfer (unless they know and like you, ie. a regular who pays their bills)
and if you do the above ^^^^
he hits you up with a 'idiot' fee.... I mean processing and storage fee.

It was his first gun yet he could tell that the extractor had been ground down? Yeah right :(

As for the USPS "delivery" thing, 0830 sounds more like "out for delivery". I know I just had a tracked package marked as "customer notified" at 0820 but they don't even come down our road until mid afternoon.
