Hey folks,
I'm trying to do a trade right now with a fellow member up in Minneapolis and I need an FFL here in Saint Louis who can do a transfer for me. In the past I have used Mike at Saint Louis Arms over in Saint Charles with great results and he only charges $20. I called today and the message on their machine says that they are closed for the month of October due to some health problems Mike is having, but there was a cell number to call in case someone needs to do a transfer. So maybe he'll be able to do it, maybe not, I left him a message at the cell number.

Just in case he can't, has anybody had good results with FFL transfers around here that don't charge ridiculous fees? I called around last year until I found Saint Louis Arms, and everybody else I spoke with either gave me attitude and wouldn't do it, or wanted like $50 to run the transfer.

Mods, feel free to move if this is in the wrong spot. Thanks.

C&S does $30 per form, they are in st.peters, about 10 minutes away from St Louis Arms.

Didn't know that about Mike, that sucks.

Yeah, it is off of highway 94, head south on jungerman past walmart, then right on old 94, it is in a little industrial area on the right about a 1/4 mile down. Never had them do a transfer, but the owner is a cool guy.

Thanks for the info guys, especially the auction arms link Mark. That one is especially helpful. I'm in Town & Country and I go across the bridge to St. Charles all the time, so Eureka is a little out of the way for me usually Chiggerbyt, but I sent you a pm just for the hay. I'll probably call around tomorrow and make a decision.

I was bummed to hear about Mike as well. I've only ever dealt with his employees, but I've had good experiences with them. Sounded like they were going through a rough spot business wise last time I was in there, so I figured that from then on I'd start doing all of my transfers and special orders through them to help them out any way I could. Nice folks, and I'll look forward to the day that they get a storefront location up again.
