I am trying to open a gun shop and shooting range in Ohio. I am going to start an LLC and was wondering if an LLC can get an FFL.

Yes, LLC is no problem. County Gov and Insurance Co will likey be tough. Good Luck!

Yes, an LLC can hold an FFL. In that case, if you get guns for your personal use/collection you need to fill out a 4473 on yourself and perhaps run a background check (depending on your state).
However, as was pointed out above, you must pass through all of the State and local governmental/regulatory/zoning hurdles -before- you apply for the FFL.
