Fiber optic sights on defensive pistols

Do you guys use fiber optic sights on defensive pistols? Any thought on this? Thanks.

I think night sights make more sense. The fiber optics only work well in bright light.

I think that fiber optic sights are too fragile. I have a set on my G17 I use for IDPA. That is if I ever get a chance to shot IDPA again.

Pair came on my new 66, I had intended to change them out for reguler sights as soon as I got it, but I'm fairly pleased withn them so far and will keep them.

At least mine are very bright in bright light, and certainly as bright and easier to pick up than any painted on "dot" in dim light. In near total darkness of course night sights are much better.

My 325PD revolver came with a HiViz front sight. It's the type where the light pipe is enclosed in a clear resin. Very durrable.

I think too that fiber optics are a bit odd with defensive pistols. It's just that some gunsmiths are installing it on carry guns. makes me wonder sometimes.
