Fiber Optics or Tritium?

XS Big Dot is imprecise unless you put in a LOT of practice with it.
I'd get a fibre optic front and leave the rear plain. In fact, I DO use a fibre optic front and plain rear, on sporting guns. I am not confident about keeping the insert in place on a duty gun, even with a dab of superglue at each post.

Tru-Glo TFO.
If they don't make one for the SP, contact them and ask them to rectify that oversight. If the demand is sufficient, I am sure the supply will follow.

I have the TFO on a 3" Kimber 1911 and will be buying additional sets for other carry guns as funds permit. The TFO is, (IMHO) the perfect non-compromise between daytime fiber optics and night time trititium sights.

It's not that hard if you follow the manufacturers directions for obtaining proper sight alignment and sight picture:

I've chased bad guys into the forest at night when I was working K9 and it can be very dark. If the OP desires a sight system that can be reliably used at night then I suggest tritium. If the revolver were merely for daylight use in the field I'd suggest a fiber optic sight if one can be found.

Cheers!

I have to give the XS Bigdots a Big plus, I recently picked up A glock 34 that has them and they are very easy to use in the dark. As a previous poster had noted they take a bit of practice to get used to shooting accurately but under stress/dark/fast shooting times they work well.
