The 1911 bushing Chevelle posted looks like a good option.

A question for you 97 owners; Does the 97 bushing have to be super tight, or can it be snugged finger tight? My new 97 stops in position for the guide rod plug to hold the bushing in place a bit short of needing the bushing wrench to turn it further. ( I don’t want to bear down and over torque it if i don’t have to.)

Thanks!

Stay safe.
who doing his bushing job?

Not tight. Screw it tight to the slide then back out til the guide rod plug fits.
The issue is sometimes the bushing and plug don't fit right, the diameters are different. The bushing has a smaller diameter which allows it to slip past the plug during firing.

Only two places do 1911 bushings on a 97. CZ custom and CGW. Cajun uses a slightly modified 1911 bushing.
Mine was from CGW

I like CGW, they did work to my Shadow 2 and I was very happy!

looked at the cost. $200

No they don't.
All 97 models are dead.

Not according to CZ's website......they still make the 97B for California, only difference is the grips and front sight.

"Due to the nature of the California DOJ Handgun Roster, we still make an older version of the 97 B specifically for the California market. Check with your local CZ-USA Authorized Dealer for availability (SKU 01401)."

^^^^ To expand on that, CZ Custom sells the 97B ACCU Comp which has a competition hammer, upgraded trigger, competition sights with an ACCU bushing. It's more or less a Shadow 2 Orange in 45acp with a FP block.

anybody here put a optic cut there 97? I’m looking for options that don’t cut into the extractor hole.

The 97 is not listed under the CA approved guns on the CZ website.
Back in November a list of CZ guns getting the axe was sent out to dealers, that list got leaked.
A phone call to CZ USA confirmed the gun is dead.

And you won't due to the narrow slide width of a CZ pistol. The only optic that fits a CZ with a FPB without a plate is the holosun k.

You could look into fire 4 effect. They mill and mount dots in a completely different matter without the use of plates.

Why not?

Your S2 have a dot, if so you removed it yet?
This is what CZ custom cuts when you choose their plate system.

The 97B is still listed today on the DOJ roster, but getting one is impossible so they sure may be done making them. There are several 75 Compact, RAMI and 75 full sized 9mm’s on there, too.

The GB seller listed 10-12 or so 97B guns on there at once with close dates every 3 days, so he might’ve done that to get rid of the last of their inventory.

Stay safe.
