Finally, a replacement for my G43

My G43 just wasn’t what I wanted it to be (lacking capacity), so I went back up a size.

Traded it for a G26...with Trijicons and a bunch of mags. I’m almost embarrassed to say how cheaply I got it.

I think the new 43X is on to something, but I always kept a fondness for the original “Baby Glock”

I have one of each. They are both nice pistols. The G26 is really no harder to carry.

I went to the range with my gen 4 G26 today in fact. I went to sight in my Crimson Trace grip laser. Turns out it was sighted in out of the box. Might be the best gun purchase i ever made. What a great combination. Great trigger with point of aim accuracy and fast (for me) follow up shots got even better.

Love my G26. Shoots like a full size and with 12rd mags I think its the perfect compromise between capacity, shootablility and concealability.

Thanks - I shoot this almost as good as my 19’s.

It carries more comfortably than the 43 did and although heavier, I don’t notice it too much.

10 rounds are definitely better than 6 and I’m deciding how well I like the 12 round mags.

I’m not however a fan of the Trijicon XD sights. Need something else, probably Ameriglo Hackathorns.

You should take a look at the Ameriglo iDots. I like them very much. Have them on my 26 and my 17.

Nice g26. I think the g43 offers a lot to a person who requires a smaller grip. For me however, i'll take a little extra size and weight for a gun that shoots better. I dont dislike the single stack glocks but i cant shoot them as well(have a g42). I had a g27 years ago and really liked it, sold it when i moved away from using 40s&w .

Ive got some trijicon sights (dont know the model) on my g42, i think they are ok for very short range but i can't shoot bullseyes at 7 yards with them ,theyre just too coarse (i could use the stock sights better). But theyre nightsights and they work for the intended use.

Mine is a gen 4 that sports a TLR6. Only negatives I have is the grip texture is rough on t-shirts. Talon grips fixed that for me though. Got to love a gun that size that's capable of having a 33 round reload.

The only thing I don't like about the 26 that can't be changed is the thickness. Otherwise, as long as I have pinky floor plates on the mags and night sights, I'm good.

I carry my 26 more than my 19. Couple nice accessories are the x-grip for using G19 mags and the Magpul 12 round mags which are shorter than the Glock OEM and as reliable based on my experience.

Blacked out rear sight. Other than that, this is how it’ll stay until I find a deal on AmeriGlo Hackathorn sights.

10 +1 rounds beats 7 everyday imo
I will probably never get a 43. The original "baby glock" justs does it for me!
