Arrived in the mail last night. :D
And -NO . . .I am not planning on the Walmart strut
Just happy and content that I now will be able to carry the right level of protection with me.
 
When did you apply for it out of curiosity?

It took mine about 2 and 1/2 weeks from the date it was received by the DOL to me receiving my permit. That was almost 2 years ago though.

I'm curious to know what the turnaround time is these days.

I submitted my original app 1st week of Dec '07 - they kicked it back to me at end of Dec. I had not included a copy of my Perm Residence (GREEN CARD) and proof of being in the USA for at least the past 90 days (additional requirements for non citizen apps). I resubmitted the missing items 1st week of Jan and got the card last night - I think it was ~ 50 days - not bad for FL.

Now a Legal Alien can legally carry a protection tool :D
