This build works beautifully. No functional issues in ~150 rounds. I put 2 boxes of Herters steel .223 FMJ through, with the remainder being rounds built to 5.56x45 mil specs. There was no detectable change in accuracy once heated(and it was smokin' today). I'm very happy with the build.

150 rounds is almost enough to get it hot. Once agaIn if it works for you then great. But you can't call it good after 150 rounds on a flat range.

Yes, it is....and yes I can :neener:

Seriously, I know the weapon is solid I can feel it....Over time I will get plenty more rounds through it, I have no doubt it will serve me well. It was plenty hot, 90 degree temps helped out a bit too, after rapid fire sessions the rife shot the same. Here in CT there is no range to "run & gun" its always flat range shooting.
As for accuracy I warmed it up, sighted in seated off a front sand bag @50yards to a sight in target. The initial shot was dead center 12" low, I walked it up to dead on at 50yards, once dialed in @ 50yds I shoot a AQT "stage1" silhouette, easily keeping every round in the black. Moving out to 100yds(accounting for a few flyers, since I'm still getting used to the rifle) the supported shots were in a 2" group, opening up to 4" off hand standing.
I'd like to scope this AR at some point and see what I can really get out of it.
