I received it 2 weeks ago, maybe 3. The dealer had his guys strap the gun shut so to speak, zip tie through a trigger hole, then through the hammer and ratcheted it too tight, scarred the gun. I refused it.
So I was bumped to the top of the list at Wilson and instead of waiting till the next slot came open the got mine out in under 3 weeks.

I felt like someone took my dog away from me having to refuse it before. I am very pumped.
The holster is a Matt Del Fatti ISP SP.
Snaps on like a VM2 but there are huger differences. It must have been the stars lining up, as they have a place on their site and it's for holsters that were made, they try to do a couple of them and about once a month they put up in stock items. The wait the other way is, well, they are not taking orders right now. So for 3 of them like this to show up in (to me) 4" unusual holster sizes in all 3 colors, I snapped up a black one and it came in yesterday. Like fate, the whole thing came together.

Man I sold a lot to get here, lol. Just sharing some porn. Forgive my photos.

But if a plastic zip-tie scarred the finish on the first one?

I would certainly question the long-term durability of the finish on the second one.

rcmodel,
that is what I was thinking. If I am dropping $2k on a gun it better not scratch with a simple zip tie.
Other than that, I love the setup. That color combo is very cool. Congrats.

Nice, nice weapon. Watch out for the fit of firing pin block in relation to your extractor. Wilson is still semi-production and i'm not sure if "clocking" was taken care of. Maybe you want to replace that firing pin block by an EGW oversized then hand fit it with the Wilson extractor.

Good piece. Also congratulation with the nice holster.

I don't blame you. But, as the years go on...if you use that one piece for daily carry out and at home your gun will get scratches and nicks and eventually need new grips. I wanted mine in perfect condition. In retrospect, I wish they would have done something like happened to you and knocked $500 off the price.

As far as zip ties go...they'll damage the finish on pretty near any finish. The exert much force on a very small area. Since the plastic is so tough, it''ll scratch. Unless it is annodized aluminum or some other finish that goes below the surface, it is susceptible to scratches. Go rub a zip tie onto the paint on your car...it'll scratch and you likely paid way over 2K for it...cut the guy some slack. He bought a great, beautiful piece.
