i've bought a few very nice used custom rifles for $350 or less. you just have to be in the right place at the right time

I reckon it depends on your definition of "fine".

The word fine is being streched just A bit here! But you can find some nice guns for $350.

I'm assuming you mean $350 in today's dollars? I've bought quiet a few for less than that, but it has been YEARS ago. With inflation, it would probably be $650-700 today. I mean Ala Dan has a sweet list there, and if he is getting that price today, I want to start shopping with him!

Guns I've bought for $350 or less:

Ruger New Model Blackhawk: $175
Cobra Derringer .9mm: $100
Bersa 383-A .380: $155
Llama micromax .380: $175
.22 pistols too many to name for $150 or less.

I have quite a few that came in at under $300, The K-31's, a Swiss 1911, All my Swedish Mausers came un under that price. A nice Husqvarna Mod 300 sxs hammer gun and a mod 46 bolt action in 9.3x57. My prettiest and nicest Ruger #1, a 1a in 7x57 was a gun show save for $275 about 4 years ago. If we can go go back a bunch of years, when I finished college, the new S&W K-38 for $ 67, and the K-22 a couple of years later for $75.

Well, I almost hate to tell, as that will make it harder for me to find another some day. Occasionally, a Beretta 70s, 71, or 75 in .22LR can be found in nice shape at a gunshow or gunshop. They haven't been made since the late 80's, but are one of the nicest pocket or light packing .22's ever made. I like them better than the Walther PP or PPK lightweight, which is considered by some to be the crown jewel of fun guns. You will not appreciate the little Beretta, which in the 71 or 75, has an alloy frame, until you handle one. They can go for much more, but I've seen then for $300-$350.

At least a handful of C&R guns qualify in this category at the moment -- rifles as well as handguns. On another forum earlier today, I spotted a used Ruger Bearcat for sale for under the $350 figure you attached -- and the Bearcat is a terrific pistol.

If you are patient, and if you know what you are looking for and where to look, some deals are still out there.

Later: Went back and re-checked the ad: The Bearcat was new, not used, which makes it even sweeter.

Try Allans Armory,http://www.allans-armory.com/aaresult.php?PageId=72
I collect the K31, and I watch all the market this guy has about the best prices you can find either that or go to J&G you can get them there for slightly more but Allans is cheaper and you see the pic of the gun you want....

I like the K31 of course its my favorite of my collection in that price range, also the K11 and if your savvy you might find a K11 long rifle for near that ..
I have a Yugo SKS thats under that price range, haven't shot it yet but from everything I have heard about them its a lot of rifle for that much sometimes you find them even still at 200 ...Chicom anyway.
I also like the Swede stuff M38 can be found close to 300 at times and the 6.5x 55 round is a good one and when you get your AG42 ..."or when I get mine" you can share ammo with it..just like my Yugo and AK they share and share alike ..
A MN Finn M39 is a real good rifle for the money and when you get a Romak it again can share the Ammo...7.62X54R is a respectable round and you can find Surplus ammo real cheap just keep a little windex to pour down the barrel after shoots.

One of my faves is my Kel Tec Sub-2000 - not only is it cheap, accurate and reliable, but it folds in half :)

My other cheapy is a Beretta Neos .22 - looks a bit daft, but shoots great :)

On the top of my list would have to be the Zurich Police surplus SIG P225. At $329 I consider mine to be one the better deals I've found.
