Hello, I'm in the market for a Hi-point carbine and the local gunshop doesn't carry them. They'll do an FFL transfer for 25 bucks but I need to find one to buy first. I also might want a romanian AK clone later on.

I would just like a list of websites to check out prices on and to have my gunshop order from.

I'm talking about websites like Impactguns and AIMsurplus but I'm sure there must be more and I'm not sure how long ordering from impactguns is going to take because it says they're out of stock but accepting orders.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

You might try www.thegunsource.com I don't know if they have the Hi-Point, you can check. If they do, you can buy it from them and have it shipped to your FFL. Don't have your FFL order it if you can do it yourself. If your FFL orders the firearm, he will charge you sales tax along with the transfer fee.

If you back-order from Impact, be prepared for a long wait, no matter what they tell you. I ordered one of the Auto-Ordnance M1 carbines from them, which they said would be in stock in about two weeks. This was two months ago, and I'm still waiting.

Just make SURE-SURE-SURE you pay with a post office money order. Postmaster General is on you side automatically if any "troubles" arise. Had to use the P.O cops once and they got the job done in all of 2 days. Best insurance you can get.

If it's truly mail fraud it's a federal crime and handled by the US district attorney if they are interested. I've not heard of the post office getting involve more than tracking who cashed it. Your best protection is paying by credit card.
