Can firearms be transported in a float plane for a tour to a national park? I ask b/c of a comment on a web site I found:

Is this true? Didn't the federal government just pass a law allowing firearm carriage in national parks? Secondly, can a civilian legally bring a stowed sidearm (in a locked case, unloaded, as it can be brought on a commercial passenger plane) in a float plane? Is there ever a time when a civilian can legally carry a holstered sidearm on a private plane?

Firearms are not permitted and Federal law prohibits firearms in the aircraft or in the park.
