So, I was looking at the beretta px4 storm out of curiosity, and noticed on the website's pdf file that it has a automatic firing pin block safety? Is this like the schwartz (if spelling is off forgive me) system on the kimber? BTW I am in no way an expert in firearms I don't even know that much about them, but I am trying to learn. Thanks for any info y'all might have, and have a great labor day!:)

No, as this system is activated (or deactivated) by the action of the grip safety, which a PX4 does not have. Most likely it is a lever or levers activated by the trigger that pushes up a spring-loaded plunger in the slide and allows the firing pin to come forward only when you pull the trigger. This is done to prevent the gun from firing if dropped, struck, thrown or whatever.

The vast majority of modern autoloaders made today have firing pin locks of some sort.

well alright, this all makes sense. I wasn't sure how the mechanics of all this worked. Thanks for clearing it all up.
