I saw your video on youtube I think! I purchased mine a little over two months ago and absolutely have no complaints. Put a crimsontrace laser grip 401L on the frame for night home defense but actually like the original grips. We could have paid a lot more but can't figure out why we would.
THESE ARE NOT MADE BY ARMSCORE They are made by Metro Arms a entirely different NEW company . These begin coming to America in 2008 I have #78 American Classic Deluxe It has been a excellent pistol .
While I was demonstration them at this year NRA convention people were waiting in line to handle and ask questions. . Their is now the basic GI , Deluxe in blue and Hard chrome . Commander in Blue and Hard Chrome and the new Trophy model in Hard chrome only.
These pistols are 1911 compatible Sights can be changed on the Deluxe if desired . Use sights made for Colt Cut Dovetail..
Most people change the grips I will caution that some grips need a little sanding on L/grip as the extended slide release will interfere. .
As for the hammer if you look at it close that is a M and A over lay in their for Metro
Arms.
Now one last thing These are not Bersa 1911's as some dealers advertise. They are imported by same importer and use same warranty centers . Bersa has nothing to do with them . They just share same importer .
I have a area for the Metro Arms 1911 on my Board http:
//bersachat.com At present their still not coming into country in large numbers Hope that to change as year goes on .
Enjoy you Metro Arms American Classic . Mine will embarrass my Colts on the range.
even though this is an old thread with new life- its worth mentioning that I, like the other ACII owners here- have been really happy with my gun. The American Classic II is one of the best 'sleeper' gun buys going in my opinion. When I got mine, the price had climbed to nearly 500 locally- which still makes it one of the cheapest 1911s your going to get. Mine feeds well, has very usable sights, and a great factory trigger. Enjoy it!
